Rome High School wrapped up a championship season in 2016, winning their first Class 5-A State Title behind a stable of stars. While the Griffin Boys garnered much of the attention, along with a trio of LSU commits, the sophomore sensation quarterback, Knox Kadum, captured more than just the hearts of Wolf Pack Nation.
At 6’2″ and 180lbs, Kadum surged through the back stretch of the 2016 season with electric efficiency. Going 128 of 207 attempts for 1,811 yards and 18 touchdowns, Kadum’s arm caught the eyes of recruiters across the nation. His size and arm strength were matched by his 4.6 second 40-yard dash time that boosted his numbers with 728 yards rushing and another 10 touchdowns on the ground. Before the state finals, Kadum had solidified his position as a team leader and the key to an explosive pro-style offense.
The summer is off to a quick start for Kadum who finished up the Tennessee Football Camp. Competing against 80 of the top QB prospects from across the country, Kadum shined and came away as the #1 quarterback on campus.
Kadum will be visiting Mississippi State this Saturday, Alabama, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, FSU and Arizona State in July. Currently ranked as the top Georgia quarterback prospect in the Class of 2019 and #10 in the nation, according to Quarterback Hit List, Kadum has high expectations for the upcoming season and is more than ready to carry the load. For the Wolves, Kadum is poised to be the next Division 1 player to lead the pack.
