A simple way to describe the new Miniyar’s International Food Court, now open at 114 Broad Street, would be “Family, Friends, and Fun”. A two and a half year project of love, is now a reality in the very popular, downtown, Rome area. The food court currently has 4 restaurants and has the potential to add 3 more. Over the last few years, downtown Rome has become the most sought after area for new business and living. Dr. Raj Miniyar was able to accommodate both dining and living at the new location. Aside from 4 current tenants at the food court, all 8 lofts, above the food court, are rented.
The tenants are so happy to be part of the downtown scene, here in Rome. This is an opportunity, they otherwise they might not be able to afford.
In sitting down with the four tenants of the food court, one thing kept coming to mind, these four restaurants truly feel and act like a family. The food court is the home for 3-26 Philly Cheese Steaks, JJ Sumo Grill, La Conquista, and Duke’s Wings. Each restaurant is able to maintain their individual identity, while sharing a common area. The common area offers seating, television, and a view of Broad Street. Reggie Taylor of 3-26 Philly Cheese Steaks said the layout of the food court allows business to come to Broad Street affordably.
Kelly Li, owner of JJ Sumo Grill offers a new style to have fresh ingredients for the customer to build their own sushi roll, wrap, or bowl. Kelly said that the service you receive at JJ Sumo Grill is similar to ordering at Moes. Customers of JJ Sumo Grill are able to walk down the line and pick the fresh ingredients they would like to add to their roll, wrap, or bowl.
Many of you know about the high quality of Mexican food you can receive LaConquista, at their freestanding restaurant in Armuchee. La Conquista will be the home of the third spot in the food court Alex Perez said that “you can still get the tacos, burritos, loco rice, etc, all available Miniyar Food Court.
3-26 Philly Cheese Steak is another restaurant that is owned by Reggie Taylor. They offer several different styles of cheese steak with several toppings to make the best cheese steak in town. Sandwich sizes range from 6″-10″. They will also have BBQ shrimp, and wings.
Dr, Raj Miniyar is extremely happy to see his vision come to life. The exposed beams and the original ceiling brings a little something special to the overall beauty of the building. Dr. Miniyar’s team were able to work well with all of the different historical issues to maintain the looks required for building in the historical district.
Dr. Miniyar is very excited to see the long hours and hard work become a reality. The grand opening is set for Saturday August 26 with a short film to debut during the grand opening called “For The Love of Rome”. The movie was created to showcase Rome first, and food court second. Dr. Miniyar sees our downtown as a sought after real estate, It is beginning a place where people, chose to not only shop, but also work, play, and live.
Dr. Miniyar wanted this to be a place where families could dine together, friends could meet up with each other, people could have fun together or just study. That can be achieved by ordering food and drinks, watching football, or just simply visiting with each other. Not only is it a great place to come to eat, you can truly bring the entire family. A family can benefit from the different options, while all sitting together.
The Miniyar’s International Food Court and Lofts is truly living up to “Friends, Family, Fun’. It is a unique opportunity to get the family together for a meal and spend time together.
