Georgia’s First Lady Sandra Deal is making the rounds to visit various hospitals to meet with mothers and families. Her intent? To emphasize the importance of immunizations.
The First Lady told Fox5-Atlanta, “There are a lot of things that we learned over the years to protect us and to protect other people and we need to be considerate not only of making our children healthy but also of helping keep the public healthy.”
Deal distributed immunization cards to help new moms and families keep newborn immunization records organized and on track.
She said she hopes to increase awareness about the need for immunizations around the state.
