The all clear was given at Georgia Highlands College’s Floyd Campus. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday August 15, 2017. A statement from Georgia Highlands College is posted below.
Approximately noon on Monday (August 14), Georgia Highlands College received a threat to its Floyd Campus. GHC immediately activated its emergency response plan. The location was closed so local authorities could investigate. An “all clear” was given around 3:30PM.
President Don Green: “The safety of all students and employees continues to be one of our highest priorities at Georgia Highlands College. We are very thankful to our local authorities for their efforts working through this situation. Georgia Highlands College will continue normal operations on Tuesday.”
The investigation has been turned over to local authorities moving forward.
